Looking back at RRDC in 2025 ... and forward to 2026 and the Midterm Elections!

In 2025, we
Held eight membership meetings with timely programs tied to national and local politics.
Staged a Town Hall for our Texas Congressional District, TX-26, whose GOP incumbent refuses to hold accessible town halls. Democratic candidate Ernest Lineberger, who will be on the ballot in 2026, was there to list and respond.
Participated in two Denton Countywide Democratic Functions.
Hosted three County Executive Committee meetings for Democratic precinct chairs.
Participated in eight local protests or marches.
Socialized at two TGIF afternoons, a Pool Party and a Watermelon Social held after we marched in the Robson 4th of July Parade.
Had the opportunity to meet with Democratic or progressive candidates for Congress, the HOA Board, Denton School Board and Denton City Council and hear their goals for public office.

2026 will get off with a fast start, with a New Year TGIF social event on January 2, followed by a fundraiser for Democratic candidates on January 15, and a membership meeting February 5. Expect to meet personally, talk to and hear from Democratic candidates for national, state and county offices at all three events.
