Get ready to vote, Robson Dems!!!

A BIG election is coming this fall -- Early Voting will be Oct 19-30, Election Day Nov 3 -- and it's not too early to make sure your are ready to cast your ballot.

The RR Democratic Club has set up two pages that will tell you most of what you need to know to cast your ballot as part of the 2026 Blue Wave this fall. You'll find links to websites and social media pages for every Democrat on the ballot as well as general election info and a sample ballot, when they become available.

Because of the skyrocketing unpopularity of Donald Trump and the Republican Party, both nationally and in Texas, Democrats have a better chance of winning in Texas than they have in decades.

This is important because the GOP has controlled our county and our state for 30 years. As a result:

• Women have lost their reproductive freedom resulting in a 63% increase in maternal mortality and a 20% increase in infant mortality since 2020.

• Hundreds of thousands of Texans lost health care coverage.

• Texas public schools are ranked among the 10 lowest performing nationally. Last year, a private school voucher program took even more money from public schools to help high-earning parents send their kids to private schools.

• Texas public school students are forced to read state-required religious texts.

• Voters of color and those who don't like the Republican Party have lost much of the power of their vote, thanks to gross racist and partisan gerrymandering for state and national legislative races.

• And in Denton County, thousands of legally registered voters are turned away from polling places on every Election Day because our elected County Commissioners (all GOP) are afraid of upsetting local party insiders.
